About Me

About Me

My treatment room... a comfortable, quiet, calm space at the end of my garden.

My name is Karen, known as Ren, and I am based in the South West in Frome, a small market town in North Somerset, not far from Bath and Bristol and within easy reach of Wiltshire and areas of Dorset.

I hold the Diploma in Canine Massage Therapy and a B.Ed(Hons.) in Geog.& Env. Studies, from Exeter University.

I have always been passionate about dogs and ever since my childhood they have played a big part in my life. I currently live with 3 dogs... Jack, Warwick and Dudley.

After attending 2 different workshops on canine massage I was inspired to become a practitioner myself. I signed up for the 2 year Diploma in Canine Massage Therapy through the Canine Massage Therapy Centre and under the teaching and guidence of Natalie Lenton. I studied Anatomy and Physiology in depth, attended regular practical sessions, completed case studies and 11 Modules and trained in Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Myofascial Release Techniques and Advanced Trigger Point therapy.

I am a member of the Canine Massage Guild, a network of highly skilled Professional Therapeutic Canine Masseuses specialising in Soft Tissue Injuries and Orthopaedic Issue Management. Through the Guild I will be attending regular seminars and Continued Professional Development sessions to develop my skills and knowledge and to keep up to date with the latest research and findings.

I have been doing agility for several years. I started with Milly, who was my lovely German Shepherd Dog. Then trained with Barney and now I'm doing foundation agility with Dudley, my young GSP. I have also recently started Scentwork with Warwick (my rescue Lurcher) and Dudley.

I am within easy reach of Bath, Bristol, Wiltshire, Dorset and North Somerset.
